Nagara, Bengaluru‘s ride-hailing platform, has partnered with LatLong to introduce the world’s first fare-compliant SaaS platform tailored for autorickshaw and taxi drivers. This initiative, spearheaded by Nagara’s operator BrandPride Mobility Pvt Ltd and LatLong’s Onze Technologies Pvt Ltd, empowers drivers with tools for route management, fare tracking, and operational control.
The platform features a driver-centric dashboard offering ride data, customer feedback, and personalized analytics. Niranjanaradhya, CEO of Nagara, emphasized the transparency of the system, which operates on open-book principles to foster collaboration and fairness.
Nagara also plans to decentralize operations, allowing drivers to handle customer complaints and set benchmarks collaboratively. A new app offering metered services aligned with government fares is in the pipeline. The last fare revision, in 2021, increased the base rate for autos to ₹30 for the first 2 km, while cab fares are now uniform across vehicle categories, with costs ranging from ₹100 to ₹130 for the first 4 km.
LatLong CEO Narayana Bhatta highlighted the introduction of digital driver dashboards, enabling drivers to access benefits like health insurance and make informed decisions. The partnership leverages hyper-local mapping technology, offering cost-effective navigation and efficiency, unlike global platforms.
This collaboration aims to reduce costs while enhancing transparency and operational autonomy, marking a new chapter in driver welfare and service innovation.
