Bengaluru: A car fully covered in Vincent van Gogh’s iconic painting The Starry Night has captured the attention of residents and netizens alike, blending fine art with urban roads.
The striking vehicle was spotted cruising through Indiranagar, one of the city’s bustling neighbourhoods, and has quickly become a viral sensation after an X user shared a photo with the caption, “Spotted this beauty in Indiranagar last evening! Bengaluru never fails to surprise.”
The image reveals the entire exterior of the car wrapped in a vivid custom design inspired by Van Gogh’s swirling blue and yellow masterpiece, making it look like a moving exhibit of post-impressionist art.
The post, uploaded just a day ago, has already garnered over 67,000 views and upwards of 3,000 likes, sparking a lively debate online.
While some users praised the creativity, others found it excessive. One commented, “Starry Night is so overrated,” while another quipped, “Soon a cop will stop him and say the car’s colour doesn’t match the RC.”
A more cautious user even tagged the Bengaluru traffic police, asking whether such a design was legal.
Not everyone was charmed. “This is not beauty. It’s cringe,” one person declared.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Van Gogh’s celebrated painting has appeared in unexpected places. Recently, a similar wrap was spotted on the back of an auto rickshaw in Mumbai, proving the masterpiece’s enduring popularity — and its ability to surprise.
