The Karnataka Police have successfully solved the case involving the planting of explosive materials outside the public toilet at Kalasipalya bus stop in Bengaluru. The authorities have arrested three suspects, though their identities will be revealed later due to the ongoing investigation, confirmed DCP (West) S. Girish on Tuesday.

The incident, which occurred on July 23, had triggered panic in the crowded BMTC bus terminal after a suspicious bag was discovered. Inside, police recovered six REX 90 gelatin gel capsules and 12 electric detonators, packed separately. The discovery was made around 2 p.m. by security staff, who alerted the authorities.

In response, five investigation teams were formed. With support from informants and technical surveillance, police managed to track down and apprehend the three accused. As per DCP Girish, investigators have also recovered 22 live gelatin capsules and 30 electric detonators from the suspects. Further leads suggest more individuals may be involved.

The case has been registered under the Explosive Substances Act, the Explosives Act, and multiple sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita. Assistant Traffic Superintendent Mallappa R. Katiimani filed the FIR after the suspicious bag was produced by security guards.

Authorities confirmed that the investigation is still ongoing, and more arrests are likely in the coming days.
