A dispute between two friends over a girl (love triangle) escalated into a tragic incident, leading to the death of 24-year-old Varun Kotian under the jurisdiction of the Sanjaynagar police station. Varun, originally from Udupi, was allegedly killed by his friend Divesh (25) in a rented house they shared in Geddalahalli, Bengaluru.
According to reports, Varun, Divesh, and the girl involved were long-time friends from school and had been living together for the past year. The girl worked as a receptionist, Divesh was employed by Zomato, and Varun was a safety officer at a company in Bagalur. Divesh and the girl were in a relationship, but Varun continued to stay in touch with her, sparking frequent arguments between the two men.
On Saturday morning, their argument took a fatal turn when Divesh allegedly struck Varun on the head with a hollow block, killing him. The Sanjaynagar police have arrested Divesh, and further investigation is underway.
