India is grappling with a troubling rise in reckless road stunts, often performed for social media fame. A recent video from Bengaluru’s Banashankari 2nd Stage highlights the dangers of this trend, showing two youths—one a minor—performing a risky scooter wheelie amidst heavy traffic.

Shared by @karnatakaportf on social media, the clip reveals the pair unfazed by warnings, continuing their stunt as vehicles pass dangerously close. The incident, reported near Monotype Junction around 8:22 PM, involved a scooter with the registration number KA01 V 5613. The caption called for stricter parental vigilance, emphasizing the life-threatening consequences of such behavior.

The video has drawn widespread criticism, reigniting debates on road safety and accountability. Bengaluru Traffic Police has tagged the Banashankari Traffic Police to investigate, with netizens urging swift and strict action.

One outraged user commented, “Seize the vehicle and fine the parents heavily so the child understands the seriousness of this act.” Another said, “Such stunts endanger lives. Cancel their driving license and confiscate the vehicle immediately.”

Authorities are under pressure to address this growing menace, emphasizing the need for stricter enforcement of traffic rules and public awareness campaigns to prevent such hazardous acts.
