Swiggy has relocated its corporate headquarters in Bengaluru from Bellandur to Whitefield, marking a significant move in the city’s evolving office landscape.

The shift reflects a growing preference among companies to move away from the traffic-heavy Outer Ring Road corridor and toward better-connected business zones.

Better access for employees

Whitefield offers stronger metro connectivity, improved road access and more affordable housing options compared to several traditional office belts.

Industry observers say such factors are increasingly influencing corporate real estate decisions, especially for firms employing large technology and operations teams.

New campus built around functions

Swiggy’s new office is a four-storey facility housing teams from food delivery, quick commerce, dining-out and logistics divisions.

The company has reportedly structured the workspace around operational functions such as logistics systems, kitchens and merchant ecosystems to improve collaboration as these businesses continue to grow.

Focus on sustainability

The company also reused a substantial amount of furniture and materials from its earlier office during the transition, aligning with green building and sustainability goals.

Girish Menon said the new headquarters reflects the company’s future direction and is designed to bring teams closer while enabling faster decision-making.

Bengaluru office market changing

Swiggy’s move also underlines a broader trend in Bengaluru’s commercial property market. Companies are increasingly favouring metro-linked hubs such as Whitefield for easier commuting and better employee convenience.

Several major firms and start-ups are reassessing their office presence as commute time, infrastructure quality and living costs become key workplace factors.

The relocation comes as Swiggy continues expanding its quick commerce and logistics businesses alongside its core food delivery services.
