Bengaluru: A 21-year-old college student tragically lost his life after allegedly being assaulted by three individuals at a farmhouse on the city’s outskirts, as reported by police on Monday. The suspects have been taken into custody in connection with this incident.
The altercation occurred on October 26, when Punith, a B.Com student, visited a farmhouse in Chikkenahalli with seven friends, including two young women. According to police accounts, the assailants, hailing from the nearby Honnapura region, arrived at the farmhouse that night and began verbally harassing Punith and his companions. They reportedly started recording the two female friends who were swimming in the pool.
When Punith attempted to intervene and protect his friends, the attackers struck him on the head with a wooden log. He was immediately transported to a hospital, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries four days later. One of Punith’s friends also sustained minor injuries during the incident.
Authorities have since filed a murder case and apprehended the three individuals believed to be responsible for the attack. The police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this tragic event, aiming to provide justice for Punith and his grieving friends and family.
