Bengaluru-based startup Swish has ignited an online debate over its ambitious promise of 10-minute food delivery. Founded by Ujjwal Sukheja, Swish aims to revolutionize food delivery by minimizing wait times. Sukheja announced the platform on X, stating, “We take care of tech, food, and delivery so we can minimize the delivery time for you.” Currently operational in HSR Layout, Swish addresses the frustration of long online food delivery waits. Sukheja noted, “In HSR, you can get anything quickly—a dosa from a darshini in minutes… But when it comes to online food delivery, the wait can be painfully long.”
The announcement has garnered over 440K views and mixed reactions. Some users praised the startup and expressed eagerness to try it. One user commented, “Congrats on the launch. I’m in HSR, will give it a shot! From crypto to food tech! Nice Swish! Good Luck!”
However, skepticism abounds. Critics questioned the feasibility of the 10-minute delivery promise, citing concerns about food freshness, safety, and the practicality of such rapid service. Comments included, “Well I know it’s a repetitive question. But 10-minute food delivery is only possible if food is already cooked,” and “Hope the 10 min criteria doesn’t risk the lives of your delivery partner! I am concerned.”
Despite the debate, Swish’s innovative approach has captured attention, with many eagerly anticipating its expansion to other areas of Bengaluru.
