Taxpayers can now update themselves with information on their taxes better with a mobile app (Annual Information Statement) AIS that the Income Tax Department has now come up with.

The mobile application is free and easily available on both the Google play store as well as the Apple store. Users may have to provide some basic information like their PAN, date of birth along with a couple of contact details before agreeing to the app’s terms and conditions. 

The user can then make use of the OTP that they receive in order to register. Registering into the app is easy, where a taxpayer will first have to register into the e filing portal, after which they can go ahead and use the app to look into all their TDS and TCS details, as well as information regarding GST, foreign remittances and so on. 

This way, the app gives every user a clear and comprehensive view of all information relating to their taxes along with details from 26AS. 

And if there is something that they don’t like, taxpayers can also go ahead and use the platform to provide their valuable feedback. Authorities will then take action which taxpayers can later check through the updated value after having sent the feedback.
