An IndiGo flight from Bengaluru to Goa was compelled to return and make an emergency landing at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) on October 8 due to low fuel. Flight 6E 6168 departed from Bengaluru at 5:50 PM but was diverted back to the airport around 7:45 PM, reportedly because of bad weather in Goa.

The flight was originally scheduled to land at Dabolim Airport in Goa at approximately 6:45 PM but faced delays and landed around 11 PM, causing significant inconvenience for passengers.

A senior official at Goa International Airport noted that adverse weather, including heavy rains and thunderstorms, resulted in the diversion of five commercial flights that day. While two flights were redirected to Hyderabad, three, including the IndiGo flight, returned to Bengaluru. Normal operations at the Goa airport resumed after weather conditions improved around 12:10 AM on Wednesday.

IndiGo has not yet commented on the incident, and the aircraft involved was an Airbus A321, with a capacity for 222 passengers.
