Zoomcar has introduced ‘Zoomcar Cabs,’ a new pilot service in Bengaluru, offering chauffeur-driven car rentals. Expanding beyond its self-drive car-sharing services, the initiative allows users to book vehicles with professional drivers for durations ranging from two hours to over 30 days.

Customers can choose specific car models, view ratings and reviews, and customize their routes and stops, providing a personalized travel experience. Hiroshi Nishijima, CEO of Zoomcar, highlighted the service’s focus on transparency and flexibility, addressing user demand for reliable alternatives to traditional cab services.

The Bengaluru pilot aims to test the model, with plans for expansion to other cities in 2025 based on its success. This move positions Zoomcar as a competitor to established players like Ola and Uber in the rental services market.

Despite facing financial challenges, including restructuring $31 million in debt, Zoomcar has improved profitability and is strategically investing in new offerings to meet customer needs.
