District Minister K.J. George extended his heartfelt condolences to the grieving family of Anil Pais (50) from Bilukoppa, who tragically lost his life after a tree branch fell on him near Balehonnur. George personally visited the family, handing over a ₹5 lakh compensation cheque, emphasizing that while no monetary aid can replace a life, it is a gesture of empathy meant to offer strength during this difficult period.

The financial assistance was sanctioned by the Deputy Commissioner (DC). George noted that Pais’s partially constructed home had been left incomplete. While gram panchayat funds were initially allocated, MLA Rajegowda has pledged to complete the house construction from his own resources.

Pais leaves behind two children studying in government schools. The minister assured that the DC will be requested to facilitate their future educational needs.

Additionally, Minister George extended financial aid to the family of Rathnakar, who died in Koppa taluk after a tree collapsed onto his autorickshaw near Meguru Hosathota.

Taking proactive measures, George directed the Forest Department to identify and remove dangerous roadside trees to prevent similar incidents, reinforcing the government’s commitment to public safety and timely intervention.
