Violent waves and high winds caused by low pressure in the Arabian Sea are endangering homes through coastal erosion in the Sanyasibale area of Gujjadi village and Kanchugodu in Hosadu village. Seven to eight houses, located just 20 to 30 meters from the shore, are on the brink of collapse. Local residents have repeatedly requested a retaining wall, but minimal action has been taken. Many fear they may have to abandon their homes if the situation continues.
