A joyous celebration awaits the faithful as five deacons will be ordained to the priesthood during a solemn ceremony at Holy Cross Church on April 16.
The sacred event will begin at 3.30 pm and will be attended by clergy, religious and lay faithful from across the Diocese.
Five new priests to be ordained
The Diocese will welcome the following deacons into priestly ministry:
- Dn Avil Santhmayor
- Dn Denzil Rodrigues
- Dn Jeevan Dsouza
- Dn Joel Monteiro
- Dn Loyd Dsouza
Their ordination marks the beginning of a lifelong mission of service, prayer and pastoral ministry.

The Diocese has invited all faithful to join the celebration in person and online through a live stream.
Priestly ordinations are among the most significant occasions in the life of the Church, symbolising dedication to God and service to the people.
A day of thanksgiving
Families, parish communities and well-wishers are expected to gather in thanksgiving for the new priests and pray for blessings upon their ministry.
