In Dakshina Kannada, a disturbing incident has unfolded where Ashwini KV, 25, from Jalsoor in Sullia, has accused her husband Naveen Kumar of attempting to kill her. Allegedly harassed by him for years, Ashwini has been residing at her mother’s residence for the past four years. On June 28, while she was at a neighbor’s house, Naveen Kumar reportedly arrived and attacked her with a knife.

Ashwini sustained injuries in the assault, prompting her relatives to intervene upon hearing her cries for help. The assailant then discarded the weapon and fled the scene. Ashwini is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Sullia, and a formal complaint has been lodged against her husband for the alleged attempted murder.
