The family of Balakrishna Poojary, who recently passed under suspicious circumstances, is urging authorities to list the private hospital where he received treatment as a third accused in the Ajekar murder case. Balakrishna’s brother, Prakash, addressed the media on November 4, alleging that influential parties, including the father of the primary suspect, Dilip, are attempting to sway the investigation for Dilip’s release.
Prakash criticized the hospital for failing to detect poison despite Balakrishna’s worsening health. He stated that Balakrishna was admitted to multiple private hospitals, yet no clear diagnosis emerged, and family members were restricted from visiting him. Prakash expressed frustration over delays in the postmortem report and warned of protests if Dilip is freed.
Meanwhile, Sandeep, brother of the accused Prathima, defended her, saying that although he consumed the same food as Balakrishna during a recent family event, he faced no immediate health issues. However, he disclosed experiencing nerve issues and fatigue, for which he’s undergoing medical tests. Sandeep claimed that Rs 50,000 raised on social media for Balakrishna’s care was allegedly sent to Dilip. He also stated he was offered a bribe to drop the case but refused, supporting severe action if evidence confirms guilt.
The family remains committed to seeking justice, with Balakrishna’s sister, father, and family friend attending the press meet in solidarity.
