Students of Mangalore University are facing significant challenges due to persistent glitches in the Unified University College Management System (UUCMS). These technical issues, which have plagued the system since its introduction four years ago, are causing failed transactions, subject selection errors, and Aadhaar revalidation problems, leaving students anxious and colleges overwhelmed.
Key issues include:
- Failed Transactions: Payments are deducted but marked unsuccessful, with no clarity on refunds, forcing students to pay multiple times.
- Subject Selection Errors: The portal fails to display the subjects required for exam registration.
- Aadhaar Revalidation: Students must revalidate Aadhaar unnecessarily, and those with changed mobile numbers face OTP-related hurdles.
- Revaluation Delays: Students awaiting revaluation results cannot proceed with fee payments due to a lack of updates.
Although Mangalore University extended the fee payment deadline to November 22, the unresolved glitches persist, threatening students’ ability to appear for exams. Colleges report being stuck between university offices in Mangaluru and Bengaluru, with no effective resolution.
Principal Secretary Srikar MS acknowledged the server issues and assured that measures are underway to address the hardships.
