Ladyhill English Medium Higher Primary School (ICSE), Urwa, hosted a hands-on workshop on Report Writing and Media Reporting on 17 September 2025. It was held to help teachers refine their skills in writing accurate, clear, and engaging reports.
What took place

The workshop was led by Mr. Mahesh Nayak, Executive Editor of Mangalore Today (English News Portal and Monthly Magazine).
36 teachers from the school participated enthusiastically.
Topics included how to draft media releases, prepare event-report news items, and the key components of a news report—from headline to conclusion. Emphasis was on accuracy, brevity, clarity.
Teachers worked in groups to write spot reports, followed by group analysis and discussion. The interactive setup allowed many questions, making it a lively and enriching session.

Miss Akanksha acted as the compere, and Miss Sahana gave the vote of thanks.
