Mangaluru: St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, will host Aloysian Games 2026, South India’s premier inter-school and inter-collegiate sports event, on January 9 and 10, 2026, at its university campus. The mega sports meet is being organised under the theme “Building Bonds Through Games” and is expected to witness enthusiastic participation from schools and colleges across the region.

Wide Range of Competitive Categories

The Aloysian Games will be conducted across four categories:

  • School
  • High School
  • PU College
  • Degree College

With over 100 prizes on offer, the event also carries a cash prize pool of ₹1.5 lakh for the PU and Degree College categories, adding to the competitive spirit of the games.

Aloysian Run 2026 on January 18

As part of the Aloysian Games celebrations, the university will also organise Aloysian Run 2026 on Sunday, January 18, 2026, starting from 5.00 am onwards. The run is billed as Mangaluru’s largest run event and is open to all sections of society, including children, adults, and senior citizens.

The run will include the following categories:

  • 10K Timed Run
  • 5K Timed Run
  • 5K Untimed Run
  • 3K Untimed Run

Attractive prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each age group for both men and women in the timed runs, while participants in untimed runs will receive trophies and certificates.
