Mangaluru: St Aloysius (Deemed to be University), Mangaluru, organised the NCC Alumni Meet 2025 on Saturday evening at Sahodaya Auditorium, bringing together former cadets of the Army, Navy and Air Wings for a memorable reunion.
The event was organised jointly by the NCC Army, Navy and Air Wings of the university, reflecting the institution’s continued commitment to discipline, leadership and national service nurtured through the NCC.
Distinguished guests grace the occasion
Dr Alwyn D’sa, former Registrar of St Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru, was the Chief Guest, while Sqn Ldr (Retd.) Neville Tania D’Costa of the Indian Air Force attended as the Guest of Honour. The programme was presided over by Dr Charles V. Furtado, Director of the Administrative Block, St Aloysius (Deemed to be University).
The dignitaries highlighted the role of NCC training in shaping responsible citizens and leaders, and appreciated the contribution of former cadets in various fields of service and professional life.
Alumni participation and activities
Around 60 former NCC cadets participated in the Alumni Meet 2025. The programme featured interactive sessions and activities aimed at strengthening bonds among alumni while rekindling memories of discipline, teamwork and service imbibed during their NCC days.
Coordinated by NCC officers
The meet was successfully coordinated by the Associate NCC Officers — Cpt Shakin Raj, Fg Offr Dr Alwyn Misquith and CTO Olvin D’Souza — whose efforts ensured a well-organised and engaging programme.
The NCC Alumni Meet 2025 stood as a celebration of camaraderie, shared values and the enduring spirit of service fostered at St Aloysius University.
