Aryan Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, is ready to step behind the camera with his much-anticipated Netflix series, Ba**ds of Bollywood*. As excitement builds for the release, Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos offered glowing praise for the show during his appearance at the WAVES Summit 2025.
When asked by actor Saif Ali Khan about upcoming Netflix titles he’s most excited for, Sarandos replied instantly, “We have a show called Ba**ds of Bollywood* coming up. It’s really fun. I’ve watched four episodes already, and the audience will get to see it very soon.”
Filmmaker Karan Johar also spoke highly of Aryan’s debut in a recent podcast interview with Raj Shamani. “I believe strongly in Aryan Khan’s talent as a director. I’m not supposed to say much about his show—he’ll kill me—but all I’ll say is: watch out. If there’s a King, there will be a Prince,” Karan quipped. “He’s nothing like you’d expect Shah Rukh Khan’s son to be. He’s humble, hard-working, and has his own unique voice.”
Starring Lakshya (of Kill fame) and Sahher Bambba, the series also includes star-studded cameos from Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Ranbir Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh. Bobby Deol and Mona Singh feature in pivotal roles, while Karan Johar himself appears in an extended cameo. The series is produced by Gauri Khan and co-created by Bilal Siddiqi and Manav Chauhan, who also collaborated with Aryan on the script.
