Kasargod: C Major 7 is the first band from Kasargod to gain fame all across the Malabar region of Kerala and in Mangaluru. On the occasion of their fifth anniversary, they released “Elelo”, their first major single, on July 1. The song was officially released on July 1 by popular Malayalam music director Jaison J Nair.

It was also released online by Malayalam film actor Vinay Forrt on his official Facebook page, who wrote, “I am happy to online release this soothing musical track ELELO from The uprising band from Malabar, C Major 7, this track would definitely set a reflection on your mind of what defines the relationship of us with the nature.. Every soul in this earth living or dead is bound to rejoice that relation..let us keep aside our little time for this rejunvenation. Wishing all the very best to the band and all the crew members who are involved in this project. (sic)”

“Elelo” is about the relationship and co-existence between humans and nature. The story sees a young girl (Ankritha Rashmeeth), who intrigued by a feathery flying seed, goes on an adventure with her friends to find its source. Their journey takes them to the forest where they are stupified and excited by the scenery and by nature itself. The children run about, explore and play in the lush greenery that surrounds them till they find what they are looking for. Through their adventure, the children are infused with a love for nature and find themselves so connected to it that they find it difficult to leave the forest behind.

The production value of the song is truly beautiful and each frame is so wonderfully shot and edited that it meshes well with the song and conveys the story well. The child actors, Ankritha Rashmeeth, Amardev, Amal Nahan, Adhirudh, Devanand, Raghavan Kanhangad South and Monisha Vinu, play their roles so convincingly that the whole episode looks like it was filmed while they were living their everyday lives.

Filmed mainly in Wayanad, the music and the lyrics pull you completely into itself that you feel like you are one among the little kids, frolicking about in the forest. Traditional musical instruments were used to create the music.
