Mangaluru: A group of artistes from ‘Maja Bharatha’ comedy show have come up with a film ‘Aangikam’ which will hit silver screen in the month of November.
This Kannada film ‘Aangikam’ being produced under the banner of ‘Vismaya Creations’, is all about what is the impact of pesticides if overused by the farmers. Though artistes like Niranjan Deshpande, Aradhana Bhat, Atheesh Shetty among others are from Maja Bharatha comedy show, the lead role is played by one Adithya, a visually impaired boy from Dakshina Kannada district.
Speaking to the mediapersons here on Wednesday, July 3, Adithya said that he had never even dreamt of acting in films and it was a surprise gift to him.
Aradhana Bhat, a household name from ‘Maja Bharatha’ comedy show who has already performed different roles in 8 films said that she had learnt a lot from this film. “This film made me aware of the problems faced by the visually impaired, very closely”, she added. Another child artiste Atheesh Shetty, who also performed in Maja Bharatha comedy show shared his happy moments during the shoot.
Chandraprabha G who directed this film, said that the film has a strong message to the public and it sheds light on how a poor family achieves something despite all problems in its life. “Though it is a sentimental film, it has good comedy also. Most of the shooting was done in Dharmastala and surrounding areas. The film has four songs which would definitely attract all”, he expressed with utmost confidence.
The producer Halathi Lokesh and assistant director Ningaraju also spoke about the film and sought the support of all.
