FIR Filed Against Kannada TV Actor Shashikala for Alleged Mental Torture

An FIR has been lodged against Kannada TV actor Shashikala for allegedly mentally torturing, extorting, and blackmailing her husband, Harshavardhan TJ, a film producer. The complaint was filed by Harshavardhan, 35, with the Vidyaranyapura police, where he accused his wife and her friend, Arun Kumar, a YouTuber, of threatening him.

Harshavardhan stated that he and Shashikala married in 2022 after meeting during a film shoot the previous year. He claimed that Shashikala, who already had a son, coerced him into a live-in relationship with the promise of helping him pursue a career in acting, later pressuring him into marriage. When he initially refused, she allegedly filed a false rape charge against him, which was later settled in court.

According to Harshavardhan, Shashikala’s behavior changed in recent months, with frequent visits from directors and producers. When he confronted her, she allegedly threatened to tarnish his career by sharing morphed images of him online. Arun Kumar is also accused of supporting Shashikala and threatening Harshavardhan. The complaint further includes allegations of mental and physical harassment by Shashikala.

The case is now under investigation by the Vidyaranyapura police, and authorities are working to determine the validity of the claims made in the FIR.
