Mumbai: Actress Huma Qureshi has heightened anticipation for Yash’s upcoming action thriller Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups, describing the film as a visually spectacular experience that will surprise audiences. Ahead of the film’s release on August 26, 2026, Huma praised both the visuals and performances, while also addressing the reason behind the project’s delayed release.

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, Toxic features an ensemble cast including Yash, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Rukmini Vasanth, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi.

Huma praises Yash and the film

Speaking in an interview with ABP Live, Huma said audiences can expect an unforgettable cinematic experience when Toxic arrives in theatres.

The actress revealed that working alongside Yash made her admire him even more, saying she witnessed his dedication and commitment to filmmaking firsthand.

While she was already aware of his popularity and massive fan following, she said collaborating with the actor gave her a deeper appreciation of his work ethic.

‘I’ve never seen anything like it’

Huma disclosed that she recently watched an eight-to-nine-minute cut featuring scenes from different parts of the film.

According to her, the footage left a lasting impression because of its scale and visual quality.

She said the glimpses showcased something she had never seen before and expressed confidence that audiences, especially Yash’s fans, would be impressed by the final product.

Although she did not reveal specific plot details, her comments have further fuelled excitement surrounding the action thriller.

Cast shares a strong bond

The actress also spoke about the camaraderie among the ensemble cast.

Recalling a recent dinner with her co-stars, Huma said the atmosphere reflected warmth and mutual respect rather than competition.

She added that every actor has a significant role in the film and has delivered an impressive performance.

According to Huma, each character has its own opportunity to stand out, making the film a collaborative effort rather than one centred on a single performance.

Why the release was delayed

Addressing the postponement of Toxic, Huma said the filmmakers preferred to delay the release rather than compromise on quality.

She explained that director Geetu Mohandas, Yash and the rest of the team wanted to ensure the film was fully ready before reaching audiences.

According to Huma, the production team continues to work around the clock to deliver the best possible theatrical experience.

She emphasised that the focus remains on releasing a polished film instead of rushing it to meet an earlier deadline.
