Kolkata : Mithun Chakraborty, a former actor who is now a politician, has been admitted to a Kolkata hospital. After reportedly expressing unease upon returning from a movie shoot, 73-year-old Mithun Chakraborty was taken right away to the hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment.
We are awaiting more information about his health. Recently, Mithun Chakraborty was announced as one of the Padma Bhushan Awardees 2024 recipients.
The actor, who his fans lovingly refer to as “Mithun Da,” made his screen debut in the Mrinal Sen-directed picture Mrigayaa, for which he won the National Film Award for Best Actor. Among his other well-known movies are Disco Dancer, Agneepath, Ghar Ek Mandir, Jallad, and Pyaar Jhukta Nahin.
Mithun Chakraborty joined the BJP party in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Kolkata’s historic Brigade Parade Ground, commonly known as the Maidan, on March 7, 2021.
