In a forceful rebuttal on Monday, April 8, Kangana Ranaut, a celebrated Bollywood actress who has recently ventured into the political arena, addressed accusations regarding her dietary choices head-on. Utilizing her social media platforms, she emphatically dismissed the allegations that she consumes beef and red meat as unfounded and malicious attempts to smear her reputation. This statement was in direct response to remarks made by Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar, who suggested that Ranaut had previously expressed her preference for beef consumption.

Ranaut clarified her stance by stating, “I don’t consume beef or any other kind of red meat, it is shameful that completely baseless rumours are being spread about me, I have been advocating and promoting yogic and Ayurvedic way of life for decades now such tactics won’t work to tarnish my image.”

Further solidifying her position, she remarked, “My people know me and they know that I am a proud Hindu and nothing can ever mislead them, Jai Shri Ram,” thereby emphasizing her commitment to her Hindu faith and lifestyle choices.

The controversy was sparked last week when Wadettiwar pointed to an alleged post shared by Ranaut on X (formerly Twitter), where she purportedly endorsed beef consumption. The circulation of a screenshot from this post has fueled debates across social media platforms.

In contrast, BJP leader Shaina NC criticized Wadettiwar’s comments, accusing him and the Congress party of ideological bankruptcy and making baseless allegations against Ranaut due to her political affiliations and dietary preferences.

Kangana Ranaut, known for her forthright and unapologetic opinions, has been actively involved in the political scene as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). She is gearing up to contest elections for the first time, representing her hometown, Mandi, with the election scheduled for June 1.

On the cinematic front, Ranaut is eagerly anticipating the release of her upcoming film “Emergency,” where she portrays Indira Gandhi, India’s first female Prime Minister, showcasing her versatility and commitment to her craft amidst the unfolding political drama.
