Mumbai: Renowned actor Kay Kay Menon, celebrated for his exceptional performances, believes that the cinema landscape lacks quality offerings on the big screen, but the rise of OTT platforms has brought forth better content for viewers.
With a career spanning decades, Kay Kay Menon is now set to appear in the film ‘Love All’, introducing badminton as a theme on the silver screen for the first time.
Discussing the film and his affinity for sports, he expressed, “Our film is a cinematic treat for all who appreciate the art. The scarcity of compelling cinema in theatres is evident. Thankfully, numerous OTT platforms offer audiences access to worthwhile content. Remarkably, ‘Love All’ places badminton in the limelight, a first in cinema. Badminton takes centre stage in our film. It’s a must-watch for children, and I’m confident adults will glean valuable lessons from it as well.”
On the significance of sports in children’s lives, he opined, “Children should have the opportunity to enjoy open spaces and outdoor activities. Nature is essential for their well-being; its absence can be problematic. Regrettably, kids are often engrossed in electronic devices, and the decline in outdoor play is disheartening. The government’s introduction of mandatory sports education in schools is a positive step. Sports teach us how to navigate life’s challenges, how to handle both victory and defeat.”
Kay Kay Menon also shared, “I’ve consistently engaged in sports throughout my life, and I intend to continue playing until the end.”
‘Love All’ is a sports drama that underscores the role of sports in children’s lives. The film, directed by Sudhanshu Sharma, stars Kay Kay Menon, Swastika Mukherjee, Shriswara, and Robin Das.
Scheduled for release on August 25, the movie presents an insightful take on the big screen.
