HYDERABAD: Superstar Prabhas’ birthday celebrations on Thursday were made extra special with the release of new posters from his upcoming films Fauzi and The Raja Saab, but it was filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga who truly stole the spotlight. The director of Arjun Reddy and Animal dropped an intriguing announcement video of his next project, Spirit, offering fans a brief but impactful glimpse into the film’s tone and the hero’s persona.
Prabhas plays a former IPS officer in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit
The audio-driven teaser opens with intense dialogues, layered with Harshvardhan Rameshwar’s gripping background score, creating a chilling atmosphere without showing a single frame of footage. Prabhas plays a former IPS officer and academy topper who is imprisoned for misconduct and comes face to face with a strict jail warden, played by Prakash Raj, who enforces his own brand of justice.
As the teaser builds tension, Prabhas’ voice delivers a striking line to Prakash Raj, confessing he has had a “bad habit since childhood.” Despite being an announcement video with no visuals, Vanga’s trademark intensity and flair for fan service shine through — even referring to Prabhas as India’s biggest superstar.
Cast and production details revealed
It was already known that Triptii Dimri will play the leading lady opposite Prabhas. The film’s ensemble also includes Prakash Raj, Vivek Oberoi, and Kanchana in crucial roles.
Spirit is being jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar, Pranay Reddy Vanga, Krishan Kumar, and Prabhakar Reddy Vanga under the T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures banners.
