Kannada star Yash, whose fame soared after the release of the blockbuster KGF series, has always been determined to follow his passion for acting. In a throwback to his early years, Yash shared how his journey to becoming a star was anything but easy. At just 6 years old, he made his first step into the world of cinema by working as an assistant director. However, his excitement was short-lived as the project was shelved after just two days, leaving him feeling helpless and uncertain about his future.

Despite this setback, Yash’s passion for acting remained undeterred. He was advised to join Karanth theatre to improve his acting skills, which led him to the Benaka Drama Troupe. There, he earned a modest Rs 50 per day while taking on odd jobs, including serving tea and working backstage. In a conversation with The News Minute, Yash recalled how, at the age of 21, he ran away from home to pursue his dreams in Bengaluru with only Rs 300 in his pocket. He described feeling intimidated by the city but also knew that returning home meant giving up on his dream for good. “I knew if I went back, my parents would never allow me to return here,” he said.

Yash made his Sandalwood debut with Jambada Hudugi and went on to star in films like Moggina Manasu, Drama, and Mr. and Mrs. Ramachari. However, it was the KGF franchise that truly transformed his career, turning him into a pan-India superstar. Now, as he continues to rise in the film industry, Yash is involved in multiple exciting projects. He is set to star in the mafia action thriller Toxic: A Fairytale for Grownups and will appear in Bollywood’s Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi, where he will play the role of Ravana.

Though Yash has hinted at the possibility of KGF 3, he expressed his desire to explore other stories before revisiting the franchise that made him a household name. His inspiring journey from a struggling artist to one of India’s biggest stars is a testament to his resilience and determination.
