The duo of Siddartha Rao & Sachin Bekal claimed the Trophy at the Dept. of General Medicine A.J. Institute of Medical Sciences conducted intra-collegiate ” Mediquiz” conducted on 31 August 2019. It was the 8th edition of this Annual contest for the Instititute’s under-graduate students.
The Dean of the college Dr. Ashok Hegde graced the occasion as chief guest, in his address he revealed that this is the right platform to showcase students talents and advised the undergraduates’ to enhance their knowledge by participating in the quiz contest regularly to achieve success in their medical professional career. He also added that the Institution will always encourage and support any type of academic competitions. He later congratulated all the 9 teams qualified for the final round and awarded Trophy, prizes, merit certificates to the winning team of Siddartha Rao & Sachin Bekal (90 points) and Runners up team Sudhamshu Kashyap and Ms. Adithi Acharya (60 points) and congratulated them on their unique achievements. Senior Prof. Dr. Prabhakar Rao graced the occasion as guest of honour.
Professor of Dept of General medicine Dr. Devdas Rai was the quiz master he revealed that the Dist. level intercollegiate medical quiz contest will be conducted on 05.10.2019 at their college premises and the winners are qualified to participate in the contest.
40 Teams from college contested in the preliminary round and 9 teams qualified for the final round. Dr. Noor Misbha and Dr. Navami Shetty assisted Dr. Rai as score markers. Dr. Adithi Santhosh welcomed, Dr. Rahul Shenoy Proposed a vote of thanks. City-based City Drug House company Sponsored this event.
