Beeri: Epitome 2k18, the 18th edition of the National Level IT and Engineering fest will be held at the School of Information Technology & Bioinformatics, Aloysius Institute of Management and Information Technology, St. Aloysius College (Autonomous), Beeri, Mangaluru. The programme will be inaugurated on February 15, for a two-day run, scheduled in line with conducting a variety of events. Dr. Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, Vice Chancellor of Nitte (Deemed to be University) will be inaugarating the programme. Sumith Nayak, Associate Vice President, Invenger Technologies will be the guest of honour. Rev. Dr. Praveen Martis SJ, Principal of St. Aloysius College (Autonomous), Mangaluru will preside over the function. Rev. Fr. Denzil Lobo SJ, Director of AIMIT will be sharing the success story of AIMIT as a leading Management and IT school of the city.
The theme of the event is Cyber Security; as it plays a crucial role when the country is ready to move forward in the digital economy with blockchain technologies, cloud enabled services and big data based information retrieval systems.
AIMIT perceives technological development differently, with distinctive taste, from a composite blend of hardware and software systems applied to mobile application development, to designing and building environment-friendly communication networks. The effectual outcome of this effort is the merging of clean computing with overall economic and social development. Epitome is an annual fest aligned with tapping the student potential of deep and full aesthetic dynamics that needs mining and direction. In its all-pervasive appeal, this is a radiant flourish of the innate talent of every individual in every field, without restrictions on software, hardware or the area of innovation and technology.

Variants of Epitome, inspired by the students in the earlier decade and fuelled by the ever progressive minds in the successive batches, transformed into a streamlined structure for innovation-centric programmes. The success rate of any endeavour is relative to the dispensation of interminable support and guidance which is apparent in the management of St. Aloysius College and Epitome is the indication of this supreme performance.
Epitome 2k18 has events such as Coding, Web Design, Mobile Application Development, Marketing, Best Manager, IT Quiz and other events which are related to IT and Services. Epitome conducted last year, cast from similar blueprint resulted in an overwhelming response with impressive performance by 29 IT and engineering colleges across the country.
The event schedule:
February 15-Opening ceremony at 9:30 AM followed by commencement of contests in different parts of the AIMIT premises.
February 16-Continuation of contests at 9:00 AM, ending at 4:30 PM with prize distribution and closing ceremony.
The entries will be judged by prominent industry experts and the events will be covered by the press and other media channels. Students of all colleges and the general public are invited to participate in this exclusive event.
