Speaking here in an ‘Aatiya Koota’ programme organized by the teaching and non-teaching staff at the Ambika Vidyalaya on Monday, he explained the significance of the Aati month.
“On “Aatiya Amavasya” or on new moon day, the Kashaya or drink will be prepared using the bark of ‘Hale Tree’ and consumed as a tradition, which has been going on for generations, which is beneficial for health, he added.

Subramanya Nattoja, Secretary, Ambika Group Education Institutions, presided over the program. The program was led by Rajashree Natttoja, Treasurer of the Ambika Group of Educational Institutions, Rakesh Kumar Kammaje, Public Relations Officer, Dr.Vinayaka Bhatta Galimane professor of Ambika Degree College, Vice Principal of the Bappalige Ambika PU college and others were present.
