Mangaluru: The Department of MCA, NMAM.I.T, Nitte organised a technical competition “Teck-KNO’17” in association with Robosoft Technologies, Pvt. Ltd. on September 15 for BSc, BCA and BCom (IT) students.
Umesh Kamath was the chief guest of the inaugural function. Dr. Niranjan N Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAM.I.T, Nitte presided over the function.
Umesh Kamath, in his inaugural address briefed about the current trends in the industry and said that there were ample opportunities for Indians in the global market.
Dr. Niranjan N Chiplunkar encouraged the students to ramp up on the latest technologies used in the industry to become employable and also reiterated the importance of constant learning. Dr. Surendra Shetty, HoD, Department of MCA welcomed the gathering.
The final round of the competition was judged by a panel consisting of Karthik K, Senior Project Manager and Pradeep Kumar, Vice President, Information Technology from Robosoft Technologies, Udupi.
A cash prize of Rs 10,000 was won as First Prize by the team from Madhav Pai Memorial College, Manipal. A cash prize of Rs 5,000 was won as Second Prize by the team from St. Mary’s Syrian College, Brahmavar.
The prizes were distributed by Karthik K and Pradeep Kumar from Robosoft Technologies.
Dr. Karuna Pandit, Professor; Mamatha Balipa, Associate Professor; Pallavi Shetty, Associate Professor and Spoorthi B Shetty, Assistant Professor from the Department of MCA, NMAM.I.T, Nitte were the core committee members of Teck-KNO’17.
