Mangaluru: The electrification work of DK Zilla Panchayath Model Higher Primary School Moodushedde was undertaken by the Rotary Club of Mangalore City with the District Designated Fund (DDF) grant provided by the Rotary District 3181 under the guidance of District Governor Rtn Ranganath Bhat.
The school located at the outskirts of the city was lacking basic facilities including proper wiring and lighting system. The Rotary Club of Mangalore City with the DDF grant was instrumental in providing 23 tube lights and related facilities. Also, with its members’ generous contributions, the club has installed 6 ceiling fans under its mission of promoting happy schools.
The project was done under the leadership of the Rotary Club of Mangalore City President Rtn. Dr. Anil Kumar and was overseen by IPP Rtn. Dr. Ranjan RK and Secretary-Elect Rtn. BasavKumar. Also in the past, the club has installed a hot and cold water purifier in the same school for the use of students.
The students and teachers of the institution led by its Head Master Subraya Pai have appreciated the initiative of RID 3181 and the Rotary Club of Mangalore City in supporting the cause of education in a good atmosphere.
