Mangaluru: The 7th Edition of Manipal Entrepreneurship Summit (MES), an annual flagship event of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal was launched on 10 February by Dr P Giridhar Kini, Registrar of MAHE, the Chief guest for the event. While launching the event he highlighted the support and facilities provided by MAHE ecosystem to transform student’s life to undertake entrepreneurship journey and challenges in their career. Dr Kini stressed the importance of entrepreneurship by quoting the example of Manipal itself and the vision of its founder Dr T M A Pai.
MES is an annual event of MAHE and the 7th edition is jointly organized by Manipal incubators, Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), various Innovation and Entrepreneurship (InE) supporting units of MAHE, and executed by Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) of MIT.
Several workshops and panel discussions will be held from 10 to 13 Feb 2024. Feb 14 kicks off with the inauguration of MES by Dr H S Ballal, Pro Chancellor, MAHE, and a keynote session by Aman Gupta, Co-founder, and CMO of boAt.
Pitch tank finals, Founder’s conclave, and “Chai pe Charcha” with Prafull Billore, the founder of MBA Chai Wala will be held on 15 Feb. The event will conclude on 16 Feb with Innovation Mela showcasing more than 100 innovations and products from innovators, researchers, and startups.
In line with the objective of nation building through the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, MAHE has been promoting InE for more than decades. Further to create awareness among students, faculty, others and also to involve alumni, MAHE started organizing MES, since 2016.
More than 50 entrepreneurs and other industry experts have participated in earlier editions of MES. During the last decade, MAHE has supported more than 150 startups. MAHE is home to two Technology Business Incubators and currently more than 50 startups are incubated.Dr
