Mangaluru: For those who finished their UG or PG degree from the Mangalore University, and for those who have the ITI, Diploma or technical degrees, University Employment Information and Guidance Bureau (UEIGB) and University Training and Placement Cell (UTPC) will jointly organise a Job Fair at University College Mangaluru (Hampanakatte) premises on November 16 & 17, from 9.30 am to 5.30 pm.
More than 30 private companies from different sectors including Infosys, Kotak Mahindra, Eureka Forbes, Mandovi Motors, Winman Software, Sri Sai Enterprises, VK Furniture and Electronics, Joyalukkas, Diya Systems, Café Coffee Day, Royal Sundaram, Omega, HSBC, Accenture will participate in the job fair. Companies may recruit qualified male / female candidates on the spot. They may also conduct virtual interviews for the eligible candidates.
Interested candidates can register their names on the spot. It is mandatory to bring original mark cards, passport size photos along with at least four copies of the biodata. Those who don’t get an opportunity on the first day can try on the second day, said a press release from Mangalore University.
Inauguration:
The inauguration of the job fair will be held on November 16 at Ravindra Kalabhavana of University College, at 10 am. Mangalore South MLA D Vedavyasa Kamath will inaugurate the event, while City Police Commissioner N Shashikumar, Zilla Panchayath CEO Dr. Kumar, CII former president Prakash Rao Kalbhavi, Mangala Alumni Association President Dinesh Kumar Alva and Corporator Vinayaraj A C will be the chief guests. Mangalore University Vice Chancellor Prof. P Subrahmanya Yadapadithaya will preside over the function. Mangalore University Registrar Prof. Kishore Kumar, UEIGB & UTPC Head Prof. K S Jayappa, District Skill Development Officer S J Hemachandra and Principal Dr. Anasuya Rai will be present.
