Moodabdiri: Alva’s Education Trust and Rajiv Gandhi Univeristy of Health Sciences will organise All India Inter-University men’s and women’s cross country championship on October 28 in Moodabdiri.
Foundation President Dr M Mohan Alva, in a press meet on Wednesday said that over 180 universities of the country, making it up to 3000 participants are expected to take part in the event. All the universities, he said have confirmed their participation.
While the competition will be held for 12 kms for men’s category and 6 kms for women’s category, Alva said that the tracks have been laid and all the preparations have been completed to put up an outstanding show.
Minister for Sports Pramodh Madhwaraj, RGUHS Vice-Chancellor Dr K S Ravindranath, former minister Abhaychanra Jain among others will be present at the inaugural programme.
