Mangaluru: Sri Ram Sene Chief Pramodh Muthalik has opined that those vouching for Triple Talaq must go and live in Pakistan.
Muthalik was produced before Court in Mangaluru on Wednesday in connection to the inglorious 2009 Mangaluru Pub Attack incident and speaking to reporters on various issues, including triple talaq, Muthalik said that there is no country in the world which follows dual laws and India can be no exception.
With regard to the Pankthi Bedha row that has been sparked by some intellectuals during the recent ‘Udupi Chalo’ campaign, Muthalik said that some extremists are creating confusion and it was unfortunate that agents of Muslims and Christians are calling themselves as ‘secularists’.
“These secularists should first enter the mosques and stop the disparities and untouchability existing within those four walls. The ones trying to touch Udupi temple will land behind bars,” he said.
Demanding that Tipu Jayanthi must be stopped immediately, Muthalik said that it is one tool that the state government has found to bag Muslim votes. “Tipu Jayanthi celebration is wrong and it needs to be stopped. If this issue is left as it is, tomorrow the Congress government will call for Osama Bin Laden Jayanthi to woo the Muslims,” he said.
Meanwhile, he also gave a clarion call to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to live up to the Hindu emotions that voted him to power. “Hindutva votes brought Modi to power and now it is his duty to act on Pakistan issue, cow slaughter issue and Ram Mandir issue,” he said adding that construction of Ram Mandir is a must.
Supporting the ban on Pak actors and cricketers, Muthalik said that till Pakistan acts against terrorism and stop providing refuge to the terrorists, their actors and cricketers must not be allowed to step on Indian soil.
