Orientation programme held at St Philomena College, Puttur

Puttur: On the occasion of the commencement of the new academic year 2019-20, an orientation programme was organised for the second and final year degree students at St Philomena College, Puttur on June 20.

The campus director, Rev. Dr Antony Prakash Monteiro inaugurated the programme and released the annual magazine of the College. Addressing the gathering he said, “Every student is bestowed with plenty of energy. It is necessary to use the available resources for constructive purposes. An educational institution can flourish only with quality students.”

The Dean of Arts and Associate Editor of ‘Philoprabha-2019’ Prof. Ganapathy expressed his views about the contributions of the students in bringing out the Magazine.

The Principal Prof. Leo Noronha informed the students of the rules and regulations of the College. He also said, “Education empowers everyone. Every student has the great responsibility to uphold the dignity of the college. This institution is known for its rich culture. The students must resolve to have involvement only in constructive activities of the College. During the last six decades of its existence, this institution has earned a good reputation.”

The prayer song was conducted by Satwik Bedekar. Student Welfare Officer Bharathi S Rai welcomed the gathering. Student Welfare Officer Dr K Chandrashekar compeered the programme.
