Mangaluru: SDM College of Business Management Post Graduate Centre for Management Studies and Research, Mangaluru, celebrated the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi under the National Integration Forum on October 2nd.
Vikramadatta CHEAR, Retd. Indian Navy, was the chief guest. He hoisted the flag along with other dignitaries.
He was later felicitated with great honour by Dr. Seema S. Shenoy, Director of SDM PG Centre and Dr. Tharanath, Principal of SDM Law College.
On this occasion, Vikramdatta spoke about patriotism as a feeling of love and devotion towards ones country. “This patriotic feeling must especially be born in the youth of the country and it cannot be taught. It must be within every Indian,” he said.
The Insitute’s National Integration Forum was inaugurated by taking a pledge to maintain peace and harmony. Dr. Harshitha K, staff co-ordinator of this programme initiated the pledge.

In commemoration of the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhiji, the institute had a week long celebration by conducting several competitions on the theme of Gandhian Principles which included collage, SDM Masterchef- cooking without fire, rangoli non-powdered competition, wealth out of waste, patriotic song competition and variety competition and others.
