Mangaluru: SJEC Alumni Association and Discipline and Equity Group in association with Mangaluru Traffic Subdivision organised a Session on Road Safety Awareness on 17 January 2024, 10 a.m. at SJEC, for all students and staff. BP Dinesh Kumar, DCP Crime and Traffic, Geetha D. Kulkarni ACP and Gopalkrishna Bhat, PI Traffic East were the Resource Persons for the event.
Nelson Castelino – Vice President SJECAL, Carlton Sequeira – Executive Member, Dr Puroshothama Chippar- Vice Principal, Rakesh Lobo – HR Manager and Faculty Coordinator, Vinoothan Kaliveer and Prasad SM were present on the occasion.
On this occasion, BP Dinesh Kumar spoke about safety guidelines to be followed by individuals while travelling on the road and the contribution by each of us to avoid accidents and other possible damage to the people around and also mentioned the Do’s and Don’ts in terms of Road Safety.
Gopalkrishna Bhat highlighted the compulsory use of safety equipment such as helmets, seat belts etc., during driving. Geetha D. Kulkarni ACP took the pledge along with the audience to ensure each individual followed the safety guidelines to the best possible extent. Vinoothan Kaliveer delivered the vote of thanks.
