Mangalore: The management of University College Mangalore organised a farewell function for Senior Sociology Professor, Smt. Mahendra Mani Rao, at Ravindra Kala Bhavana complex of the college on Monday.
Smt. Mahendra Mani Rao in her speech spoke about how forgetfulness helps one forget everything and start a new phase of life. Mahendra Mani Rao, who served the college for 28 years, from 1991 to 2019, shared sweet and bitter memories of her service with some motivation to students.
Teaching and non-teaching staff shared their experiences and memories with their senior colleague. The students wished her and presented a colourful painting of her. On behalf of the college, Principal Dr. Uday Kumar M A, who presided over the function, felicitated Mahendra Mani Rao. Sociology lecturer Gayathri welcomed the guests. Spoorthi mastered the ceremony.
