Mangaluru: Mangaluru South MLA Vedavyas Kamath has laid foundation stone for three development works worth Rs. 1.06 Crore in the premises of Sri Koddabbu Devasthana on the Main 3rd Cross Road of 5th Attavar Ward of Mangaluru City Corporation.
Speaking on the occasion, he gave details of the works. These special works have been initiated with the cooperation of local corporator Shailesh Shetty, he added.
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai has sanctioned Rs. 125 crore for the development of Mangaluru City under the State Government’s Mahatma Gandhi Nagar Vikas Yojana. Of this, Rs 1.6 Crore has been given for the development of Koddabbu Daivasthanam environment, construction of a retaining wall behind the shrine at a cost of Rs. 44 Lakh, Ambedkar community hall and drainage work at a cost of Rs. 38 Lakh, installation of interlock at a cost of Rs. 25 Lakh, will be carried out, the MLA explained.
