New Delhi: Women applying for the Delhi Lakshmi Yojana, which offers ₹2,500 per month in financial assistance, should ensure they have all the required documents before submitting their application. Officials have warned that missing the mandatory self-declaration form or other supporting documents could delay verification and stall the approval process. Registration for the scheme began on August 1 through the official online portal.
The Delhi government expects the scheme to benefit around 17 lakh eligible women, with the first instalment planned after applications are verified.
Self-declaration is a key requirement
Among the most important documents is the self-declaration, which confirms that the applicant has been a resident of Delhi for at least 10 years and has no criminal record.

Who is eligible?
