New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Manipur Budget 2025-26 in the Lok Sabha on Monday, with an estimated expenditure of ₹35,103.90 crore, a rise from ₹32,656.81 crore in 2024-25.
Budget Breakdown:
🔹 Total Receipts: ₹35,368.19 crore (Up from ₹32,471.90 crore)
🔹 Capital Outlay: ₹7,773 crore (19% increase)
🔹 Social Sector Outlay: ₹9,520 crore
🔹 Relief & Rehabilitation (for internally displaced persons):
- ₹15 crore for temporary shelters
- ₹35 crore for housing
- ₹100 crore for relief operations
- ₹7 crore for compensation
🔹 Police Incentives: ₹2,866 crore for personnel in sensitive areas
Manipur remains under President’s Rule, and the budget includes ₹2,000 crore under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme.
