Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari unveiled Rajasthan‘s first-ever Green Budget, emphasizing climate resilience, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable growth. She highlighted a strong commitment to youth employment, environmental protection, and large-scale infrastructure projects to position Rajasthan as a leading force in India’s economic and ecological progress.
The state aims to become a $350 billion economy by 2030, with estimated revenue receipts of ₹2.94 lakh crore and expenditure of ₹3.25 lakh crore for 2025-26. The fiscal deficit stands at ₹84,643 crore (4.25% of GSDP).
To boost employment, the government will recruit 1.25 lakh candidates in the public sector and 1.5 lakh in private industries. The Rajasthan Employment Policy 2025 will focus on job creation and workforce expansion.
For urban development, ₹250 crore has been allotted to enhance Jaipur’s traffic system, along with new metro extensions and 500 buses for Rajasthan Roadways. Additionally, ₹60,000 crore will fund the development of nine Greenfield Expressways.
To promote clean energy, households installing solar panels will receive 150 free electricity units monthly, while community solar plants will support low-income families. The Aravalli Green Project has been allocated ₹250 crore, and an additional 6,400 MW of power will be generated.
Key announcements include new Sainik Schools, a cyber control center, a tribal tourism circuit, and 18 industrial zones. Additionally, stamp duty reductions will benefit homebuyers and families.
