On August 8, St Aloysius Gonzaga School’s kindergarten section hosted a lively Colours Day celebration, with Dr. Soundarya Mahalingam, a consultant and pediatric allergist at KMC Hospitals, Mangaluru, serving as the chief guest.

Dr. Mahalingam provided parents with valuable insights on the nutritional aspects of children’s current food habits and clarified common misconceptions about diseases. Her address aimed to enrich parental understanding and promote healthier practices for young children.

Father Melwyn Anil Lobo SJ, Principal of St Aloysius Gonzaga, also spoke at the event, exploring the fascinating link between colours and human behaviour. His speech highlighted how colours influence emotions and actions, adding depth to the day’s theme.

The celebration featured an engaging program by the Pre-KG to KG-II students, who performed a theme song dedicated to the vibrant world of colours. The event showcased an impressive array of student art and craft work, illustrating primary and secondary colours, which added to the visual appeal of the celebration.

The event was well-attended by the vice-principal, kindergarten coordinator Aparna Suresh, as well as parents and teachers, who enjoyed the vibrant presentations and activities organized by the school.
