In a heartwarming initiative, 19 Ethiopian children suffering from congenital heart conditions have undergone life-saving surgeries at the Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research in Bengaluru. This effort, led by Rotary Bangalore Midtown and the Rotary Needy Heart Foundation, reflects the power of collaboration in bridging gaps in global healthcare.

Ethiopia faces significant challenges in accessing medical facilities for treating congenital heart diseases, leaving many children without essential care. Recognizing this urgent need, Rotary Bangalore Midtown facilitated surgeries for 15 children in previous years, all of whom have since fully recovered.

This year, the program extended its efforts to an additional four children with severe cardiovascular conditions. These surgeries, conducted free of cost, have given the young patients a new lease on life. The Sri Jayadeva Institute, renowned for its expertise in cardiovascular care, played a crucial role in ensuring the success of these procedures.

Speaking about the initiative, Rotary Bangalore Midtown emphasized their commitment to improving lives through global partnerships. The program has not only provided critical medical aid but has also fostered hope for countless families.

Such initiatives underline the importance of international cooperation in addressing healthcare disparities and ensuring that children, regardless of geography, receive the care they deserve.
