In a recent crackdown on unlicensed medical practices, the Ballari health department has shut down a clinic on Pinjar Lane that was allegedly providing illegal infertility treatments. Operated by Sridhar C, who lacks any formal medical training, the clinic misled couples with false promises of success in conceiving.

Under the direction of Deputy Commissioner Prashanth Kumar Mishra, a special inspection team led by Dr. Abdullah R found that the clinic was administering allopathic medicines and hormone injections to women without proper receipts. Sridhar’s operations violated the Karnataka Private Medical Establishments Act, leading to its closure.

District Health Officer Dr. Ramesh Babu emphasized the importance of seeking treatment only from qualified professionals, warning that improper medical procedures could result in severe side effects. He urged the public to report any illegal practitioners to local medical authorities.
